Privacy Policy
Pieter Bruwer Public Relations ("PBPR", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
1. Who we are
PBPR is a public relations agency in South Africa. For this website and for any personal information you share with us, PBPR is the responsible party under POPIA.

2. What this website collects
This website is an information site. It has no contact forms, no user accounts and no newsletter sign-up, and it does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. All fonts and files are served from our own website, so your visit is not shared with third parties such as Google.
Like almost every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs of each visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the website secure and running properly, and they are deleted after a limited period.
3. Information you send us
If you email or phone us, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, company and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond to you, to discuss and deliver our services, and to keep a record of our business correspondence.
4. Why we may process it
We process personal information only where POPIA allows it, for example where you have given consent, where it is needed to conclude or perform a contract with you, where the law requires it, or where it serves a legitimate interest that does not override your rights.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business (for example our website host and email provider), who must keep it confidential and secure, or where the law requires us to. If information is ever transferred outside South Africa, we will only do so as POPIA permits.
6. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. After that we delete or destroy it securely.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage and unauthorised access, and we keep our website and hosting up to date.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us whether we hold your personal information, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we process it. Email us at pieter@pbpr.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
9. Information Officer
Our Information Officer is Pieter Bruwer. Contact him at pieter@pbpr.co.za.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
